Goodmorning Friends,
So sorry about no blog yesterday. We're back on and ready to go.
Jesus has been so good thus far. The buses arrived late, but students have maintained really positive attitudes. Our day yesterday was pretty incredible. Its just so cool to get up in the morning surrounded by mountains, snow, rivers, and evergreens and then look over to realize that the most majestic things in Copper Mountain are the students lining the streets and river spending time with Jesus before they start their day.
In the morning sessions Dan Smith talked to students about the need to connect with God daily. He helped students understand that their impact on those they encounter ties directly to time spent with God. Taylor Purswell led our second session and spoke on what it looks like to "be the change" through the choices you make with those at school in class and extra curricular activities.
Recreation consisted of students doing triple flips, climbing mountains, sliding around on the snow, riding mountain bikes, and climbing the rock wall here at Copper. These kids are some of the funnest people I have ever met. Crazy. Hopefully we can get some pictures up to show you what they were up to.
But I saved the best for last. Last night, in our worship session Mac shared the gospel and we had the privilege of seeing Jesus lifted up and students give their lives to Christ. Please pray in the coming days that we would engage those who gave their lives to Christ, that they might connect with the group.
Finally, please pray for our leaders. This group is amazing, smart and devoted, but they're tired and I'm just praying that God would give them an extra portion of rest. I mean it, these leaders are accomplishing things that I would never have imagined by Wednesday at camp, so let's lift them up together so they can finish strong.
That's all for now. I hope to have some pictures up a little later. Pray without ceasing.
Love Wins,
Kirk

Thank you to all the pastors and leaders for investing in our children. Your rewards are yet to be seen.
